Unravelling biochemical pathways to enhance plant fitness and health
About us
The Dauphinee lab is located at the Department of Molecular Sciences of the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU), Uppsala, Sweden. The group is part of the Plant Catabolism Laboratories.
Our research focuses on autophagy (“self-eating”), a major degradation pathway that is conserved in eukaryotes, and biomolecular condensates known as stress granules. We strive to reveal the mechanisms behind these vital biological phenomena with the primary aim of developing innovative tools and strategies that can be leveraged to improve crop resilience and agricultural outputs.
Funding and support for our ongoing projects is provided by the Swedish research council Formas, the Carl Tryggers Foundation, the Chemical Biology Consortium of Sweden, SciLifeLab, Epic-XS, and the National Academic Infrastructure for Supercomputing in Sweden.
